SEO Basic Steps for Beginner

Search engine optimization (SEO) is an old and one of the most important topic when we are talking about anything about online related business. A lot of rumors we can listen from the market that SEO is kind of a at its dead end, the google and other search engines changed their ranking policy to another level that SEO is not so important now a day. But the truth is SEO is still as important as it was around 10 years ago. Even now a day it is way more important than it was 10 years ago. 10 years ago there was not so many complex rules to be ranked on top. But now the ranking become kind of hard. But it is not something rocket science, so be relaxed and follow the exact instructions the search engine provides. After all these the basic parameters are still same and we need to know about these parameters so that we can start working on those things.

Content:

In case of SEO the content is always the king. The whole process depends on this specific thing. Content must have to be unique and attractive. You need to learn which language is the most lucrative to the audience and you have to polish your content according to that. This is actually the most basic secrete to make your website rank higher in short time.

Title/h1 tag:

Title of the article is another focusing issue in case of SEO. When a search engine starts to index a website indexes the title first. So the title have to matched with the content and also it is required that it should contain the keyword or keywords within it. Usually we represent the title in h1 tag, so another word h1 tag is as much important as title.

Headlines or h* tags:

If our content is divided into different segments and we use title for those segments than it is very much important to keep match with the keywords. So that audiences are being able to understand what we are trying to talk about. For that we will keep a close eye on our headline tags or h* tags. Using headline tags is more SEO friendly than any other tags.

Image’s alter value:

Images are another important issue to make an article visually attractive to the audience. But in case of SEO this image is not important mostly. But as we know every image have an alt tag and we can put some value for that image. So we need to keep an eye on that too. Search engines assign that image against that alt value. So we should put something related to our keywords to get an attention from the search engines.

Keyword:

This is one hell of a thing and a very scary issue for anyone new in this field. But be assured we cannot find it in few days. As we all know the algorithm is changing almost after a certain time so we need to be updated and keep on changing according to the search engines.  How we can understand which keyword is better performing! Well for that we need to work on error and trial. But there are few issues that can give us a better understanding about the keyword research. I would describe about that in my next articles.

Internal links:

This is another important issue for webpage ranking. The more links you have the website will be indexed faster than usual. Because when you have a link within website the crawler will be able to know about your website faster. So this internal links will help the search engine to describe better to it. Also this is known as off page SEO. We can do it with in the content.

Inbound links:

Inbound links are also known as back link. This linking helps the website to rank higher. The more internal link you have the more traffic will be coming to your website. So it is better to have authentic and similar links as back link. Also now a day the search engines look for these kinds of links to understand what is the position of your website have within the community. The link of the landing page can be toward any of the page in your website and it is recommended to have as much links as possible.

Sitemap:

Sitemap is another thing using which the search engines usually run their artificial intelligence and run the crawler. The sitemap usually in .xml format and we need to keep that in the website and introduce this specific url to the search engines. Once we submit our sitemap to the search engine than the search engines will index it’s urls by itself.
